Instructions
1. Make the Patties
Add ground beef to a bowl.
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
Mix gently just until combined to keep the meat tender.
Form into small patties, slightly larger than the buns since they shrink during cooking.
2. Cook the Patties
Heat a skillet or grill pan over medium heat and lightly oil it.
Cook each patty for 3–4 minutes per side until nicely browned and fully cooked.
Set aside to rest for a few minutes.
3. Prep the Buns
Slice buns if needed.
Lightly toast them in a pan or oven to enhance flavor and prevent sogginess.
4. Assemble
Arrange the bottom halves of the buns on a baking tray.
Spread a spoonful of pizza sauce on each.
Place a patty on top, then add a bit more sauce.
Sprinkle generously with mozzarella.
Add any extra toppings you like.
Finish with the top buns.
5. Bake
Preheat the oven to medium heat.
Bake for 5–7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and slightly bubbly.
Remove, let cool briefly, and serve warm.
