When Life Changes Without Warning
Not every life-altering moment arrives loudly. Some unfold quietly, shifting everything beneath the surface before you even realize it. For me, that shift came on an otherwise normal afternoon when my son was eight years old.
The Ordinary Moment That Wasn’t
It started as something routine—a standard medical appointment. There was no sense of urgency, nothing to suggest anything unusual. But gradually, the atmosphere changed. More tests were ordered. The questions became more careful. There was a pause that lingered a little too long.
